I want to kiss you
like saying Om
relaxing into it
letting it become me
forgetting myself
remembering myself
healing myself
opening the channel
vibrating the spine
echoing along the inside
of the rib cage
emanating out in all directions
affirming my presence
hearing and following
the primordial the elemental
the rise the fullness
the fall, the lingering tingles
drawing out the last part
the mmm
I want it to be as if
it were always there
whether I say it or not
unstruck unmoved unchanged
through lifetimes
through the deaths of galaxies
through duty
through action
through destiny
through the work my soul has in store
for this life
and the next
through my faults and failings
always humming in my skin
waiting
I want to kiss you
like saying Om
to become
the becoming
to be held
in the knowing
to blur
my sound from yours
to ascend the energy
to be reborn
to be emptied
to be light
to float
become dizzy
we could be
levitating
just being
present
I want to
kiss you
like
Om
In April of 2015, I decided to participate in National Poetry Writing Month by writing one poem for each day of the month. In an effort to not take too much time on the writing, I wrote as many poems in haiku as possible. Hope you enjoy!

26. (or Found Poem) (or That Time I Smiled Really Big)
Before I handstand
I remember who I am
I say my true name
I remember who I am
I say my true name

23. (or Samskara)
Your shadow was sewn
to my heart since I was born
hunting down my light
I wear your embrace
like a dark cloak, a storm cloud
can't shake you off me
Illumination
is the only way to kill
a shadow. I'll shine
to my heart since I was born
hunting down my light
I wear your embrace
like a dark cloak, a storm cloud
can't shake you off me
Illumination
is the only way to kill
a shadow. I'll shine

18. (or Abhyasa)
With three elements
time, consistency, and love
we build a practice
Practice makes habit
habit makes lifestyle, so choose
what will fill your days
time, consistency, and love
we build a practice
Practice makes habit
habit makes lifestyle, so choose
what will fill your days

Antidepressants
occur naturally in
the dirt, earthen soil
Transmuted through skin
conspiring to elevate
elemental bliss
occur naturally in
the dirt, earthen soil
Transmuted through skin
conspiring to elevate
elemental bliss

10.
Rain forests vibrate
birds scream, bugs have violin
wings, and branches break
Humid air thickens
the night, streaks your brow with sweat
it's too hot to spoon
